Addressing Discrimination Against AAPI Students: Guidance from the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights
The United States Department of Education Office of Civil Rights (OCR) recently released a reminding schools of their obligation to?investigate and?address?all forms of?harassment based on race, color, or national origin, including harassment directed at Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students. The Dear Educator Letter builds on efforts across the government, including President Biden¡¯s memorandum,?, to recognize and address the recent increase in harassment and violence directed at AAPI individuals.?
